Monte Irvin Community Center

Tsivicos Enterprises constructed the new community center at Essex County Monte Irvin Orange Park, named for the Baseball Hall of Famer. The 8,580-square-foot building centers on a roughly 5,000-square-foot multi-purpose room for community events and programming.

The project also included significant site infrastructure — a modular, vehicular-rated underground detention basin for stormwater management — and a restoration of the park’s historic Olmsted-designed garden landscape.

Balancing a new public building with sensitive site and landscape work, the project was delivered to the rigorous standards expected on Essex County construction.
