Cherry Blossom Welcome Center
Tsivicos Enterprises delivered the ground-up construction of the new Cherry Blossom Welcome Center at Branch Brook Park — home to a grove of more than 5,000 cherry blossom trees, larger than the famed national display in Washington, D.C. The 12,000-square-foot building gives the county a year-round facility to host events and expand programming in one of its most beloved parks.
The centerpiece is a large community room with seating for approximately 250 people, supported by a warming kitchen, restrooms accessible from inside and out, coat and storage rooms, and a lobby with gallery and display cases. A signature feature fabricated by Tsivicos is a 20-foot faux cherry blossom tree that lets visitors experience the trees in bloom — pink petals and all — throughout the year.
A covered entry and driveway ease access, while a large rear patio overlooks the ballfields beyond. The project was completed to the rigorous public-bid standards that define our government work.
